The Skills submodule in the Recruit section allows recruiters to manage and organize skill sets required for job roles. This includes creating, listing, and managing skills through various functionalities.



In navigation panel, click on Recruit Module - Skills

1. Skills Listing Page

  • Displays all the skills added to the system.

  • Columns include: 

    • Skill Name

    • Action (Edit, Delete)

  • Pagination is available for navigating through a large number of skills.

  • Provides a clear overview of all skills used in recruitment processes.


2. Add Skills

  • Users can add new skills by clicking the Add Skills button.

  • Steps to Add Skills

    1. Click the Add Skills button.

    2. Enter the skill name(s) in the provided input fields. Multiple skills can be added simultaneously.

    3. Use the Add More button to add additional fields for skill names.

    4. Click Save to finalize.

  • Validation ensures that skill names are unique and required fields are not left empty.


3. Filter and Search

  • The search bar allows users to locate specific skills by entering relevant keywords.

  • Filters help narrow down results to locate the desired skills quickly and efficiently.


4. Actions

  • Edit

    • Update an existing skill by clicking the Edit button in the action column.

    • After making changes, save the updates.

  • Delete

    • Remove a skill from the system by clicking the Delete button.

    • A confirmation dialog ensures accidental deletion is prevented.

Use Cases

  1. Adding New Skills 

    • A recruiter adds new skills, such as "Java Developer" or "UI/UX Designer," to maintain an up-to-date database.

  2. Editing an Existing Skill 

    • The recruiter notices a typo in a skill name and updates it for accuracy.

  3. Searching for a Skill 

    • The recruiter uses the search bar to find whether "Data Analyst" is already in the system.

  4. Deleting a Skill 

    • A skill no longer relevant to recruitment processes, like "Outdated Programming Language," is deleted to maintain a clean list.



FAQs

  1. How can I add multiple skills at once?

    • Use the Add Skills button and click on the Add More option to add additional input fields for multiple skills.

  2. Can I undo a skill deletion?

    • No, once a skill is deleted, it cannot be undone. Ensure to confirm the deletion before proceeding.

  3. Why am I unable to save a skill?

    • Ensure the skill name is not blank or already existing in the system. Duplicate or empty entries are not allowed.

  4. How do I search for a specific skill?

    • Use the search bar at the top of the Skills Listing page and enter the skill name or relevant keyword.

  5. What happens if I accidentally delete a skill?

    • If deleted, the skill is permanently removed. You will need to re-add the skill manually.
