The Overtime Request submodule in the Payroll module allows employees to submit overtime requests, track approval status, and review overtime hours and compensation summaries. This guide will help you navigate the Overtime Request submodule step-by-step.
Features Overview
In Navigation panel, click on Overtime Request.
1. Employee Request Listing Page
On the main screen, you will see:
A table listing all overtime requests with details such as:
Employee Name
Requested Date
Overtime Date
Duration (Hours and Minutes)
Reason for the request
Amount (if applicable)
Action Buttons:
Update: Edit an existing overtime request.
Accept: Approve the overtime request.
Reject: Decline the overtime request.
2. Approved Status Overview
This section provides a summary of the status of all overtime requests for the selected period:
Requested: Total number of requests submitted.
Approved: Requests that have been approved.
Rejected: Requests that have been declined.
Pending: Requests awaiting action.
3. Overtime Hours Summary
View the cumulative overtime hours and associated compensation for the selected month and year.
4. Filters
Use the filter options at the top to refine the data displayed on the page:
Filter by Designation, Department, Employee, Year, and Month.
5. Add Request
To add a new overtime request:
Click the + Add Request button.
In the popup:
Select the Employee.
Enter the Date of the overtime.
Specify the duration (Hours and Minutes).
Provide a reason in the Reason field.
Click Save to submit the request.
6. Update Request
To edit an existing overtime request:
Click the Update button in the Action column for the desired request.
Modify the Date, Duration, or Reason as needed.
Click Save to update the request.
7. Action Buttons
Accept: Approve a pending overtime request.
Reject: Decline a pending overtime request.
Update: Make changes to a submitted request.
Best Practices
Ensure that the request details, such as duration and reason, are accurate before submission.
Use the filters to quickly find requests for specific employees or departments.
Regularly review pending requests to avoid delays in approval.

Q1: How can I view only pending requests?
Use the filters at the top of the page and set the "Approved Status" filter to Pending.
Q2: What happens if I reject a request?
The request will be marked as rejected and will no longer appear in the Approved or Pending status counts.
Q3: Can I edit a request after it has been approved or rejected?
No, only pending requests can be updated.
