Projeni.com allows you to use your own domain (e.g., yourcompany.com) or a subdomain (e.g., portal.yourcompany.com) as your portal’s custom domain. Here’s how to set it up on Namecheap.

1. Log In to Your Namecheap Account

  • Visit Namecheap Login Page.
  • Enter your credentials and log in.

2. Go to Your Domain List

After logging in, you’ll land on the dashboard.

On the left sidebar, click “Domain List” (icon looks like a grid or list).

3. Find Your Domain

In the Domain List, locate the domain you want to use.

Click the “Manage” button on the right side of that domain.

4. Access Advanced DNS Settings

In the domain management page, click the “Advanced DNS” tab at the top.

5. Add DNS Records

A. For Main Domain (yourcompany.com)

Add these records in the Host Records section:

IPv4 (A Records):

Type Host Value (Points to) TTL
A @ 168.231.64.80 30 min or default
A www 168.231.64.80 30 min or default

IPv6 (AAAA Records):

Type Host Value (Points to) TTL
AAAA @ 2a02:4780:2d:f111::1 30 min or default
AAAA www 2a02:4780:2d:f111::1 30 min or default

How to Add:

  • Click “Add New Record” (green button under Host Records).
  • Select A Record or AAAA Record.
  • For Host, use @ (means root domain), or www as needed.
  • For Value, enter the IP addresses above.
  • TTL: Leave as default or set to 30 min.
  • Click the green checkmark to save each record.

B. For Subdomain (e.g., portal.yourcompany.com)

IPv4 (A Record):

Type Host Value (Points to) TTL
A portal 168.231.64.80 30 min or default

IPv6 (AAAA Record):

Type Host Value (Points to) TTL
AAAA portal 2a02:4780:2d:f111::1 30 min or default

Replace “portal” with your chosen subdomain name (e.g., crm, clients, etc.).

How to Add:

  • Click “Add New Record”.
  • Choose A Record (for IPv4) or AAAA Record (for IPv6).
  • In Host, enter your subdomain (e.g., portal).
  • Enter the IP address in Value.
  • Click the green checkmark to save.

6. Save and Wait for DNS Propagation

Ensure all new records appear in the Host Records list.

DNS changes may take some time (usually within 30 minutes, up to 24 hours).

7. Take a Screenshot of Your DNS Setup

Take a clear screenshot of your new Host Records showing the A and AAAA records.

8. Submit a Ticket to Projeni Support

  • Go to https://support.projeni.com/
  • Log in with your main company email.
  • Click Create Ticket.
  • For Ticket category, select Custom Domain Setup.
  • Attach your DNS setup screenshot.
  • Submit the ticket.

Projeni support will verify and finalize your custom domain setup.

Tips & Notes

  • Make sure there are no conflicting records (e.g., old A or CNAME records for the same host).
  • If your site doesn’t connect after 1–2 hours, clear your browser cache or try incognito mode.

That’s it! Your Projeni portal will be live on your domain or subdomain as soon as DNS propagation is complete and our team finishes setup.
