Projeni.com lets you use your own domain (e.g., yourcompany.com) or any subdomain (e.g., portal.yourcompany.com) for your CRM portal. Here’s how to set it up on DreamHost.

1. Log In to Your DreamHost Account

• Go to DreamHost Login.
• Enter your credentials and log in.

2. Go to the Manage Domains Section

In the left sidebar, click “Websites” and select “Manage Websites” (may also appear as “Manage Domains”).

3. Select Your Domain

In the domains list, locate the domain you want to use.

Click “DNS” under that domain.

(If you don’t see the DNS option right away, click the domain name to expand details, then look for DNS or “DNS Settings.”)

4. Add DNS Records

A. For Main Domain (yourcompany.com)

Add the following DNS records:

IPv4 (A Records):

IPv6 (AAAA Records):

How to Add:

• Under “Add a custom DNS record,” choose A or AAAA from the dropdown.
• For Name, enter @ for the root domain, or www for the www version.
• For Value, enter the appropriate IP address.
• TTL: Use default or set to 4 hours.
• Click “Add Record Now!” after each entry.

B. For Subdomain (e.g., portal.yourcompany.com)

IPv4 (A Record):

IPv6 (AAAA Record):

Replace “portal” with your chosen subdomain (e.g., crm, clients, etc.)

How to Add:

• Under “Add a custom DNS record,” select A or AAAA.
• For Name, enter your subdomain (e.g., portal).
• For Value, enter the correct IP address.
• TTL: Default or 4 hours.
• Click “Add Record Now!” for each.

5. Remove Conflicting Records

Make sure to delete or update any previous/old A, AAAA, or CNAME records for the same hostnames.

6. Wait for DNS Propagation

DNS changes may update in minutes, but can take up to 24 hours to propagate globally.

7. Take a Screenshot of Your DNS Records

Scroll to your DNS records list and take a clear screenshot showing your new A and AAAA records.

8. Submit a Ticket to Projeni Support

• Go to https://support.projeni.com/
• Log in with your company email.
• Click Create Ticket.
• Choose Custom Domain Setup as the ticket category.
• Attach your DNS screenshot.
• Submit the ticket.

Projeni support will verify your DNS setup and complete the custom domain process.

Notes & Tips

• If you set up multiple subdomains, repeat the steps for each.
• If you have issues after an hour or two, try clearing your browser cache or check propagation at whatsmydns.net.

That’s it! Your Projeni portal will be live on your chosen domain or subdomain as soon as DNS propagation is complete and our team finalizes setup.
