Projeni.com allows you to use your own main domain (e.g., yourcompany.com) or any subdomain (e.g., portal.yourcompany.com) for your CRM portal. Here’s how to set it up on DigitalOcean.

1. Log In to Your DigitalOcean Account

• Go to DigitalOcean Login.
• Enter your credentials and log in.

2. Go to the Networking Section

• From the left sidebar, click “Networking” (globe icon).
• Under the Domains tab, click “Domains”.

3. Select Domain

• Select your domain

4. Access Domain DNS Settings

• Click on your domain name from the list to open its DNS management page.

5. Add DNS Records

1. For Main Domain (yourcompany.com)

Add the following records:

IPv4 (A Records):

IPv6 (AAAA Records):

How to Add:

• Click “Add Record”.
• For Type, select A or AAAA.
• For Hostname, use @ for your root domain, or www.
• For Will Direct To, enter the IP address above.
• TTL: Use default (3600) or as preferred.
• Click “Create Record” to save each entry.

1. For Subdomain (e.g., portal.yourcompany.com)

IPv4 (A Record):

IPv6 (AAAA Record):

Replace “portal” with your chosen subdomain (e.g., crm, clients, etc.).

How to Add:

• Click “Add Record”.
• Choose A (for IPv4) or AAAA (for IPv6).
• For Hostname, enter your subdomain (e.g., portal).
• Enter the IP address in Will Direct To.
• Click “Create Record” after each.

6. Wait for DNS Propagation

• Ensure all records appear in your DNS management table.
• DNS changes typically update within 30 minutes, but may take up to 24 hours to fully propagate.

7. Take a Screenshot of Your DNS Records

• Scroll to the records list.
• Take a clear screenshot showing your new A and AAAA records.

8. Submit a Ticket to Projeni Support
9. Go to https://support.projeni.com/
10. Log in with your company email.
11. Click Create Ticket.
12. Select Custom Domain Setup as the ticket category.
13. Attach your DNS screenshot.
14. Submit the ticket.

Projeni support will verify your DNS setup and finish the custom domain connection.

Tips & Notes

• Remove any conflicting or old A/AAAA records for the same hostname.
• If your portal isn’t live after a couple of hours, clear your browser cache or try another browser.

You’re done! Your Projeni portal will be available on your chosen domain or subdomain once DNS propagation and final setup are complete.
