Projeni.com lets you use your main domain (like yourcompany.com) or any subdomain (like portal.yourcompany.com) as your CRM portal address. Here’s a step-by-step guide for setting up DNS records on Bluehost and HostGator (cPanel).

1. Log In to Your Account

• For Bluehost: Go to Bluehost Login.
• For HostGator: Go to HostGator Login.
• Enter your credentials and log in.

2. Access Domain Management / cPanel

On the dashboard, find the Domains or My Domains section.

Click “Manage” next to your chosen domain, or directly go to cPanel.

If you’re already in cPanel:

• Look for the “Domains” or “Zone Editor” or “DNS” section.

3. Open DNS Zone Editor

In cPanel, find and click “Zone Editor” under the Domains section.

Locate your domain and click “Manage” (or sometimes a gear/edit icon).

4. Add DNS Records

A. For Main Domain (yourcompany.com)

IPv4 (A Records):

IPv6 (AAAA Records):

How to Add:

• Click “+ Add Record” or “Add A Record” or “Add AAAA Record”.
• For Name (or Host), use @ (sometimes your domain auto-fills here), and www for the www record.
• For Address, enter the correct IP.
• TTL: Use 14400 or leave as default.
• Click “Save Record” or “Add Record” for each.

B. For Subdomain (e.g., portal.yourcompany.com)

IPv4 (A Record):

IPv6 (AAAA Record):

Replace “portal” with your desired subdomain (like crm, clients, etc.).

How to Add:

• Click “Add Record” (choose A or AAAA).
• For Name/Host, enter your subdomain.
• For Address, use the correct IP.
• TTL: Use 14400 or default.
• Save each record.

5. Review and Clean Up Old Records

Remove or update any old A, AAAA, or CNAME records for the same name/host.

6. Wait for DNS Propagation

DNS changes often update in minutes, but may take up to 24 hours worldwide.

7. Take a Screenshot of Your DNS Records

In the Zone Editor, scroll to see your DNS records.

8. Submit a Ticket to Projeni Support

• Go to https://support.projeni.com/
• Log in with your company email.
• Click Create Ticket.
• Choose Custom Domain Setup as the ticket category.
• Attach your DNS screenshot.
• Submit the ticket.

Projeni support will verify your setup and finalize your custom domain connection.

• The process is nearly identical for Bluehost and HostGator since both use cPanel.
• The main differences are just branding and dashboard appearance, not the DNS management steps.
