1. Overview of the Holiday Submodule 

The Holiday Submodule provides a centralized platform for managing organizational holidays. Features include adding holidays, marking default holidays, and switching between calendar and table views for better visualization and management.

2. Accessing the Holiday Submodule 

  1. Navigate to the HR section in the left-hand menu. 

  1. Click on Holiday to open the Holiday Dashboard.

The dashboard displays a Calendar View by default, showing holidays for the selected month and year.

3. Features of the Holiday Submodule 

 

a. Holiday Listing Page 

The Holiday Listing page provides two views: 

  • Calendar View: Shows holidays in a calendar format with day-by-day highlights. 

  • Table View: Displays holiday details in a tabular format for easier sorting and filtering.

b. Add Holiday 

To add a new holiday: 

  1. Click the "Add Holiday" button. 

 

  1. Fill in the required fields:  

  • Date: Select the date for the holiday. 

  • Occasion: Specify the reason (e.g., Independence Day). 

  • Department, Designation, Employment Type: Optional fields to restrict the holiday to specific groups. 

  1. Click "Save" to add the holiday.

c. Mark Default Holidays 

To set recurring default holidays (e.g., weekends): 

  1. Click the "Mark Default Holidays" button.

  1. Select the days of the week to be marked as holidays (e.g., Saturday, Sunday). 

  1. Add an Occasion (e.g., Weekend). 

  1. Click "Save" to apply.

d. Calendar View 

  • The Calendar View provides a visual representation of holidays in a calendar format. 

  • Switch between month, week, day, or list views using the toggle on the top-right corner.

  • The Table View presents holidays in a sortable and searchable table. 

  • Columns include:  

  • Date 

  • Occasion 

  • Day 

  • Department 

  • Designation 

  • Employment Type

4. Additional Features 

Search and Filter 

  • Use the Search Bar to find specific holidays by name or date. 

  • Filter by:  

  • Month and Year: Navigate through time periods. 

  • Department, Designation, Employment Type: Narrow results for specific groups. 

 
 

Export  

 

Click “Export” to Download the holiday excel sheet.

  1. Use the Calendar View for a high-level overview of the organization's holiday schedule. 

  1. Leverage the Table View for managing detailed holiday information. 

  1. Regularly update holidays to ensure employees have accurate and updated schedules. 

  1. Use Mark Default Holidays to automatically set recurring holidays like weekends. 

  1. Export holiday lists for communication or compliance purposes when needed.
