1. Overview of the Attendance
The Attendance Submodule streamlines employee attendance tracking with features for marking attendance, importing and exporting data, filtering, and multiple view options. It includes detailed notes and interactive tabs for different attendance perspectives.
2. Accessing the Attendance Dashboard
Navigate to the HR section in the left-hand menu.
Click on Attendance to open the Attendance Dashboard.
Features of the Attendance Submodule
The dashboard provides a calendar-style view of employee attendance for the selected month and year.
a. Attendance Listing Page
The Attendance Listing page provides a comprehensive calendar view with:
Columns: Dates of the month.
Rows: Employee names and their daily attendance status.
Attendance Status Legend (Notes):
⭐ Holiday
📅 Day Off
✅ Present
✴️ Half Day
⚠️ Late
❌ Absent
🛫 On Leave
b. Mark Attendance
Click the "Mark Attendance" button to manually add or update attendance records.

Fill in the required fields in the Mark Attendance Form:
Department and Employees: Select the applicable groups or individuals.
Location: Specify the work location.
Attendance Details:
Clock In/Out Times
Mark as Late, Half Day, or Day Off if applicable.
Click "Save" to record attendance.
c. Import Attendance
Click the "Import" button to upload attendance data in bulk.
Upload a file in supported formats (XLS, XLSX, CSV).
Ensure the file follows the required datetime format (YYYY-MM-DD HH:MM:SS).
Toggle the option "File Contains Headings Row" if applicable.
Click "Upload And Move To Next Step" to import data.
d. Export Attendance
Use the "Export" button to download attendance data for analysis or record-keeping. The export supports a standard Excel format for easy sharing.
e. Search and Filter
Search Bar: Quickly locate specific employees or attendance records.
Filters: Narrow results by:
Employee
Department
Designation
Month and Year
Late Entries
Tabs for Different Attendance Perspectives
a. Summary View
Displays attendance data for all employees in a calendar format.
Total attendance for the month is shown in the Total column for each employee.
b. Attendance by Member
View attendance records for a specific employee.
Displays key statistics:
Working Days
Days Present
Late Entries
Half Days
Absent Days
Holidays
c. Attendance by Hour
Tracks hours worked daily for each employee.
Total hours worked in the selected month are shown in the Total column.
d. Attendance by Location
Displays attendance on a map, showcasing the locations where employees logged attendance.
Interactive map view with filtering by date, department, and other criteria.
5. Best Practices and Tips
Mark Attendance daily to maintain an accurate record.
Use Import Attendance for bulk updates.
Review Attendance by Member or Attendance by Hour to monitor productivity.
Utilize Attendance by Location to ensure compliance with remote work policies.
Regularly Export Attendance data for reporting and auditing purposes.
